Nestled in the heart of the Temecula Valley Wine Country, Thornton Winery opened in 1988. The winery combines old world style with new world taste to create award-winning and premium varietal wines. The Méthode Champenoise process is used because it has proven to be the best for producing fine quality Sparkling Wine/Champagne.
Thornton Winery’s old world charm and grace are most apparent when visiting the winery in Temecula. The winery, an elegant French-style chateau overlooking the graceful vineyards of the Temecula Valley, highlights Café Champagne, a breathtaking Fountain Terrace, Herb Garden, Gift Shop, and Champagne Lounge. The Thornton Winery Tasting Room is open 7 Days a Week from 10am – 8pm.
You will have three hours to spend exploring the vineyard with a tour, tasting, a gourmet lunch or picnic. There is live entertainment Saturday’s and Sunday’s for you to enjoy. If you choose to go during the months of May-September you can enjoy their annual Jazz Concert Series. The perfect tour for any occasion.
Departing from the Hawthorne Airport, this helicopter charter takes you on a 60 minute helicopter flight, landing at Thornton Winery for a two hour wine tasting experience!

Price includes up to 4 people in the Bell Jet Ranger or 3 people in the R44. The 60 minute flight Departs from Hawthorne Airport daily between 9:30am and 12:30pm, returning 2 hours after arriving at Thornton Winery for a 60 minute flight back to Hawthorne Airport. If you would like to spend more time than the 2 hours included in the package just add $180 per hour. Requires a minimum of 5 days advanced notice to schedule and book the tour. Departure times from Thornton Winery is sunset, night take-off and arrivals are not permitted.  Passenger weight limits apply. Cancellations require a minimum of 48 hours notice. A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the above cost will be charged on cancellations if the flight is canceled less than 48 hours in advance. Same day cancellation will be charged full rate.
